• Width (Fits Opening): The dimensions in the menu denote the size of the aperture/gap required between your walls or support posts. These measurements already incorporate the space needed for the hinges and latch. No further adjustments are necessary.

• Physical Height: This is the actual height of the product. It is from the underside of the framework to the top of the finials. We have not included any additional space you need to allow for ground clearance.

Example Ordering Size

If the opening width between brick walls is 3ft, you must order the gate that will "fit an opening of 3ft".

Do You Need to Install Metal Posts?

If you are installing the gate in a location lacking existing brickwork or other support, you will need to install metal posts. Please be aware that these posts will require additional space for installation.

Example: A gate to fit an opening of 3ft combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total space of 3ft 4".
