Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits opening): The size shown in the drop-down menu relates to the opening size you need between your existing walls or posts. We have already included the required space for the hinges and latch within this measurement. You do not need to make any additional calculations for these parts.

• Height (once installed): This includes an allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance and is measured from the floor to the top of the arch.

Example Ordering Size

When the gap size between your walls is 3ft, you must order a gate to "fit an opening of 3ft".

Are Metal Posts Required?

You must use metal posts when installing the gate in a location without existing support for the hinges and latch. Please remember that additional space will be necessary if these items are required.

Example: A gate to "fit an opening" of 3ft combined with 2 x 2" metal posts will demand a total width of 3ft 4".

Fittings: The gate includes a fitting pack with surface-mounted adjustable hinges and a universal latch. You must purchase the screws to mount these items separately.

Metal Posts: All metal posts must be secured and installed correctly. If you use "in-ground" posts, we recommend setting them in place with concrete to ensure long-lasting durability.

Installation: The fittings should only be connected to masonry structures or posts if you are confident they can provide the appropriate level of support. For additional fitting information, refer to the installation instructions.

Width: The "fits opening" measurements in the menu are the gap size you will need. It does not refer to the physical width of the gate. If you don't know what size you need for your opening, please read the page detailing how to select the right size.

Painting: If you select the Regency Arched Side Gate with the primed black (undercoat) option, you must paint all steel surfaces before installation. This essential measure will help prevent rust and corrosion. Alternatively, if you would prefer to upgrade to the low-maintenance electro-galvanized (zinc-plated) and black powder-coated paint treatment please select this from the options and accessories menu when placing your order.
