Regency 3ft High Wrought Iron Style Double Metal Driveway Gates Specification

• Suitable for many residential applications, including driveways and large entrances.

• The Regency design provides a unique appearance at a competitive price.

• They are manufactured in the UK to high standards using 20mm x 8mm solid steel frames, 10mm infill bars and 10mm x 3mm scrollwork.

• Supplied with surface mounted adjustable hinges, latch and drop bolt.

• Available in a black primed undercoat or pre-finished with a durable zinc-plated and black powder-coated paint. (Please note, if you choose the primed option, additional painting is required).

• 914mm (3ft) + top scrolls

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fit Opening): This dimension is the opening size you will need to have between existing brickwork or posts. We have included the space required for the hinges and latch within this size. No further adjustments or calculations are necessary. For clarity, if the existing gap between the brickwork measures 12ft, you should order the gates to "fit an opening of 12ft".

• Height (once installed): We have included a space of 50mm (2") for ground clearance within this measurement. The "height once installed" is from ground level to the top of the frame. The scrollwork on top of the frame is not included within this measurement.

Do You Need to Order Metal Posts?

When you need to use metal posts, you should remember that additional space will be required.

Example: The Regency driveway gates that are made to "fit an opening" of 3658mm combined with 2 x 80mm posts will require a total overall space of 3818mm.

Helpful Information About the Regency 3ft High Driveway Gates

Fittings: Each pair of gates will include a fitting pack containing the hinges, latch and drop bolt. The screws you will need to attach the hinge brackets to the brickwork or posts will not be included.

Posts: When you install metal posts, these must be the correct type and size to suit the given application. They will need to be set into the ground and supported with concrete. 

Installation: You must only install the hinges onto brickwork if you are sure that it can support the weight of the gates. For all other information, please view the installation guide.

Width: As described above, this is the opening size needed and does not refer to the physical width of the gates. If you need additional clarification, please click here.

Painting: If you purchase the Regency metal driveway gates with the primed black (undercoat), you must paint them to protect the steel against rust and corrosion. Alternatively, if you would like to upgrade to the low maintenance zinc plated (electro galvanised) and black powder-coated paint finish you can do so in the options and accessories menu at the top of the page.
