Fits Opening - This is the opening into which the railings will fit. It includes the space required for the fitting brackets, so there's no need to make additional calculations for these elements.

Height - The dimension is the total physical height of the product. It is from the underside of the framework to the top of the horizontal rail. No provision for ground clearance is included.
Do You Require Bolt Down Metal Posts to Provide Support?
Use bolt-down metal posts when you can't install the railings between existing brick pillars. The additional space will impact the required length, so you'll need to consider this when placing your order.

You will need a total distance of 1930mm for 1 x railing (to fit an opening of 1830mm) and 2 x 50mm metal posts.

Fittings: We want to ensure that your railing is installed correctly, so we include a fit kit with four surface-mounted brackets, nuts, and bolts. You will need to supply the necessary screws for your posts or brickwork.
Metal Posts: If you install metal posts, ensure the wall is thick enough to accommodate the bolt-down plate.
Width: The term "fits opening" is a measurement of the width of the opening required between brickwork or posts and does not represent the physical width of the product. Painting: The Stirling railing is electro-galvanised (zinc plated) for added rust resistance and powder-coated black. You do not need to paint the product before installation.
