• Width (Fits Opening): The dimensions in the menu above denote the size of the opening you will need between your walls or existing posts. The measurements already incorporate the required space for the hinges and latch. You don't need to make any further allowances for these components.

• Physical Height: This dimension is from the underside of the framework to the top of the arch. We have made no provision for the ground clearance required when installing the item.

Example Ordering Size

You must purchase a gate designed to "fit an opening of 850-910mm" if the spacing between your walls or posts is between 850mm- 910mm.

Will Metal Posts Be Needed?

If you are installing the gate in a location without an existing structure to attach the hinges and latch, you will need to add metal posts. Please keep in mind that these posts will require additional space for installation.

Example: A gate to fit an aperture of 850mm blended with 2 x 50mm posts will need an overall width of 950mm.
