Vertifleur Wooden Driveway Gates | 4ft High

Vertifleur Wooden Driveway Gates measure 4ft tall and feature a blend of natural timber and cleaner lines of solid steel to create a design that will provide a focal point to any home or driveway entrance. Available to buy online in various sizes, they are constructed from slow-grown Scandinavian Redwood and have a smooth planed finish. They feature a 70mm thick mortise and tenon jointed frame, horizontal and diagonal bracing and metal infill bars fitted to the top open section. The top rail includes fleur-de-lys finials to enhance their appearance further.

• Built with a heavy duty 95mm x 70mm timber framework, 95mm x 14mm tongue and groove infill boards and 16mm metal infill bars fitted with fleur de lys finials.

• Metal bars and finials are primed black (undercoat).

• Timber driveway gates are supplied in a planed finish ready to be painted or stained.

• Suitable for automation (some modifications may be required).

• Hinges, latches and drop bolts for the Vertifluer gate design are available to order separately.

Useful Information About the Vertifleur 4ft High Double Wooden Gates

Width Dimensions: The Vertifleur wooden gates are sold as a pair. The width dimension shown in the drop-down menu refer to the actual width of both gates when placed side by side. For clarification purposes, each pair is made up of the following:

• 8ft pair = 2 x 4ft

• 9ft pair = 2 x 4ft 6”

• 10ft pair = 2 x 5ft

• 11ft pair = 2 x 5ft 6”

• 12ft pair = 2 x 6ft

Height Dimensions: This is measured from the underside of the gates to the highest point. No allowance has been made for ground clearance. It will be down to the installer to decide how much space to allow although as a general guide we normally suggest 50mm (2”).

Fittings: If you need to purchase the hinges, latch, and other associated furniture, please choose the appropriate fitting pack from the options and accessories menu.

Posts: We recommend installing the gates using wooden posts of the appropriate size to suit your needs. Both “wall mounted” and “in ground” posts can be used however in either instance the gap formed between the posts should be approximately 40mm larger than the width of the gates you order. This will then provide the optimal amount of space required for the hinges etc together with an allowance for movement of the timber throughout the seasons.

Finish: The gates are manufactured from smooth planed softwood and have not been treated in any way to provide protection against the elements. It is therefore essential that all exposed surfaces are stained or painted prior to installation.

Installation: We recommend using hook and band hinges when fitting the gates. For the best level of support, the hinges should be mounted to the top and bottom horizontal rails. For more information, please read our general installation guide.
