Winchester Wrought Iron Style Metal Garden Railings

The Winchester Metal Railings have a timeless appeal making them suitable for any location where a decorative security feature is your preferred option. The railings are constructed from high-grade solid steel components and feature straight infill bars, and wrought iron-style scrollwork mounted to the top rail. Suitable for garden walls, in between brick pillars or any other area of the property that would benefit from an additional height without having to compromise on aesthetics. Available to order online to suit three standard gap sizes or, where required, can also be purchased in a made-to-measure size.

Winchester Metal Garden Railing Specification

• Handmade in the UK using quality solid steel components.

• Easy to install and suitable for a variety of applications.

• Wrought iron-style scrolls add character.

• 20mm x 8mm flat bar frame, 10mm round infill bars and 10mm x 3mm scrolls.

• Black primer/undercoat (the railings must be painted before installation – contact us for pre-finished options).

• Supplied with surface-mounted fixing brackets compatible with brickwork, timber and metal posts.

• Available to order online in a choice of sizes (please be aware the railing design may vary from the image depending on the option you select).

What do the Sizes Refer to?

• Fits Opening - This refers to the opening into which the railings will fit. We have already made an allowance for the space needed for the fittings.

• Height - This represents the height of the railings once installed (allowing for a 50mm gap at the bottom for ground clearance). The top scrolls are not included within this measurent.

Do You Need to Utilize Bolt-Down Metal Posts?

You must use bolt-down metal posts if you cannot install railings between existing brick pillars. The extra space this requires must be taken into account when ordering.

Ordering Example (when using posts)

• 1 x railing (to fit opening 1830mm) and 2 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts will need a total space of 1930mm.

• 2 x railings (to fit opening 1830mm) and 3 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts will need an overall length of 3810mm.

• 3 x railings (to fit opening 1830mm) and 4 x 50mm bolt-down metal posts need a total space of 5690mm.

Fittings: Our railing comes with fitting instructions and mounting brackets. Please note that screws are not included.

Metal Posts: You must ensure the wall is wide enough to fit the bottom plate completely, as this may affect how you place the posts on the wall.

Width: Before purchasing this product, it is essential to double-check that there is enough space available between brick pillars or posts at the location where you wish to install. Please remember that the space required between brick pillars or posts is known as the "fits opening" dimension. It does not indicate the actual width of the product. Please refer to our detailed measuring guide for further details.

Painting: Black undercoat primer is applied to the steel surfaces when manufacturing the Winchester metal railings. To avoid rust and corrosion on the steel, paint all surfaces before installation. If you would like to upgrade to the low-maintenance electro-galvanized (zinc-plated) and black powder-coated paint treatments, please contact us before making your purchase.
