• 20mm x 8mm steel framework, 10mm solid metal infill bars and 10mm x 3mm decorative scrolls

• Supplied with surface mounted adjustable hinges (compatible with existing brickwork, steel or timber posts), latch and drop bolt.

• Applied with black primer (undercoat), they are ready to be painted before you install them.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): The width measurements displayed in the drop-down box at the top of the page refer to the opening size required between existing brickwork or posts. We have already included the space needed for the hinges and latch within this measurement, so you should not make any other allowances. For clarity, this means that if the size of the opening is 7ft 6", you should order the gates to "fit an opening" of 7ft 6".

• Height (once installed): We have included an allowance of 2" (50mm) for ground clearance within this dimension. It is measured from the ground to the top of the frame. The scrollwork fitted to the top of the gates is not included within this measurement.

Are Metal Posts Required? 

If ordering metal posts, you will need to consider the additional space required for these items.

Example: The Marlborough double gates designed to "fit an opening" of 7ft 6" combined with 2 x 2" posts will require a total overall space of 7ft 10".

Posts: When installing metal posts, you must ensure they are the right size and style to offer the correct level of support. They should be set into the ground to the proper depth and held in place with concrete.

Painting: Marlborough wrought iron style metal driveway gates are primed black (undercoat) and must be painted before installation to protect the steel against rust and corrosion.
