The Windsor Wooden Garden Gate is handcrafted from low maintenance smooth planed pressure-treated timber for an enhanced lifespan and reduced levels of ongoing maintenance. Designed to improve the appearance of any residential property, it is perfect for areas of the home, such as front entrances, pathways, and side access points into the garden. It features a thick and sturdy 70mm mortise and tenon jointed framework, heavy-duty horizontal and diagonal bracing for additional strength and an attractive black metal infill panel set within the top section. Useful Information About the Windsor Wooden Gate

Fittings: The hinges and latch required to install this gate are not included as standard. Where these items are required, they can be added to the order using the options and accessories menu above.

Posts: We recommend the use of wooden posts when installing this gate. Wall mounted posts will need to be secured to an existing structure using appropriate fixings (not included). For stand alone installations, the posts should be set in the ground to a depth of 600mm – 900mm and supported using concrete. For both installation types, it is important to note that the gap formed between the posts will need to be 20mm wider than the width of the gate to allow space for the hinges and latch and expansion of the timber.

Finish: The Windsor range is made from low maintenance pressure treated timber which will have a temporary green tint to it. Over time this will fade down after exposure to the elements. If you are wanting to stain or paint the gate, it is important that sufficient time is allowed for the colour to fade before applying any additional treatments.

Installation: We recommend only hook and band type hinges for the installation of this item. The hinges should be mounted to the horizontal rails for optimum levels of support. For more information, please refer to our installation guide.
