Easy to install, it comes with surface-mounted adjustable hinges and a sliding latch mechanism as standard.

Ordering Sizes

• Width (Fits Opening): The measurements depict the size of the opening you will require between your existing posts or walls. The dimensions already account for the space needed for the latch and hinge components. You do not need to make any additional allowances for these items.

• Height (once installed): This is the distance between the ground and the top of the horizontal frame. An allowance of 50mm (2") for ground clearance is incorporated into this measurement. It does not include the scrollwork above the top horizontal rail.

Example Ordering Size

When ordering, if the distance between your brickwork or supports is 991mm, you should pick the "fits opening 991mm" width option from the drop-down menu.

Do You Need Metal Posts?

You must install metal posts to secure the hinges or latch if there is no support structure available. If you do use posts, make sure that additional space is available.

Example: A total space of 1151mm is required when ordering a gate that "fits an opening of 991mm" combined with 2 x 80mm posts.

Fittings: A receiver plate, a latch mechanism, and two surface-mounted adjustable hinges are included with this item. The screws required to install these components are not included.

Metal Posts: Choosing the right metal post is essential. When fitting these elements, always anchor in-ground posts with concrete and make sure they are level.

Installation: If the hinges are attached to masonry, check it can withstand the added weight.

Width: The "fits opening" dimensions specify the gap size required for the gate to fit. These measurements already include the space taken up by the latch and hinges. The dimensions do not indicate the physical width of the product. Please see our measuring guidelines if you want any more details.

Painting: Before installation, you must paint the Windsor metal gate to stop the steel surfaces from corroding (applicable to the primed opton only). Alternatively, you may upgrade to an electro-galvanized (zinc-plated) and black powder-coated paint finish for an additinal cost.
